Meet our Conductor
John Corrie, Artistic Director

John Corrie holds degrees from Oberlin Conservatory, Northwestern University, and Yale University School of Music where he studied organ and harpsichord. 

A Fulbright-Hays Scholar, Mr. Corrie studied at the Hochschule fur Musik in Vienna, Austria, 1972-1973. 

Mr. Corrie has been teaching at Bates College since 1982, conducting the College Choir since 1986, teaching voice since 1991 and musicianship since 1982. 

In January of 2005 Mr. Corrie took over duties as organist at the Bates College Chapel. 

In addition, Mr. Corrie has been organist and choir director of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin (Episcopal), in Falmouth, ME, since 1982.  Mr. Corrie has performed organ, harpsichord and fortepiano concerts throughout New England.
